Who we are ?

Patrick Claisse

My career path enabled me to invent, design and develop the SET system: a form of tool/process and know-how essential to the SURLEV project, ensuring its entrepreneurial and technical foundation and defining its field of value, in particular the safety of goods and people. The transformative experience gained from my apprenticeship links me indelibly to the development of the SURLEV project. The resilience and knowledge I have built up over the years now give me the certainty that the time has come to offer and deploy the value proposition embodied by the SURLEV project and its technology.

Structural and earthquake engineer, architect, project manager. MSc Structural Repair and Rehabilitation, UT Austin, Architecte D.P.L.G., MSc Environment, Energy and Climate Change Adaptation, CAT, Whales, Sustainable Building & Real Estate, École des Ponts Paris Tech, Health Coach, IIN, NY. As an expert in structures, team-building, scaleup and project management, my first building experience was an elevation project, one of a series of circular challenges involving material reuse, disassembly and rehabilitation. These deep questions prompted me to experiment with and implement an environmental design process that I call the "Anthropo-Bio-Geo" approach. In 2010, I created a conceptual tool for the deployment of societal resilience and real wealth called "Co-creation Strands", concluding that the priority in the field of building must be the transformation of the existing. In April 2022, I postulate a business model (HCap Method) for the circular management of construction projects, including examples of demountable building systems.
